INPACT enabled that an old (but never implemented) project of IMM and UFRJ became reality: a new textbook with a new pedagogical approach to the training in medical biochemistry, with world-wide distribution.

This outcome will be important in the training of future scientists and health care practitioners, taking the legacy of INPACT far beyond the period of the project itself.

Collaborative research initiatives in peptide science often yield resources that extend far beyond the laboratory. Comprehensive textbooks developed through international partnerships serve as enduring educational tools for training the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals. By integrating novel pedagogical approaches with cutting-edge content on topics such as antimicrobial and antitumoural peptides, these works bridge fundamental biochemistry with translational medicine. The legacy of such projects continues to shape curricula worldwide, ensuring that advances in biopharmaceutical development and peptide-based therapeutics are accessible to students long after the initial research phase concludes.

The creation of educational materials represents a vital component of knowledge dissemination within the biopharmaceutical field. Training resources that combine molecular insights with practical applications help cultivate skilled researchers capable of advancing peptide-based drug development. These publications support the broader mission of translating scientific discoveries into clinical solutions for cancer and pathogenic bacterial infections. By fostering international exchange of expertise and pedagogical strategies, such outputs strengthen the global research community and accelerate progress toward innovative therapeutic approaches that can ultimately benefit patients and society at large.
